Per the foundation's Fundraising and Gift Acceptance Policies, the following gift types are welcome. Each requires a quick conversation first.
Donate publicly traded securities directly to avoid capital gains tax and deduct fair market value. Email johannes@cfmusic.org for the transfer instructions.
Recommend a grant from your DAF to Campfire Music Foundation (EIN 88-3475249). We can confirm receipt and provide documentation.
Mail a check made out to Campfire Music Foundation, 444 Newton Ave S, Minneapolis MN 55405. We send a written acknowledgement for any gift over $250.
Equipment, professional services, or pro-bono support that helps the platform launch. Subject to gift acceptance review. Email johannes@cfmusic.org to discuss.
FAQ
Yes. Campfire Music Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 88-3475249). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by US law. You will receive an email receipt suitable for tax records.
Email johannes@cfmusic.org with your name and the email used to set up the recurring gift. We will cancel or adjust the amount within two business days and confirm by email.
Credit and debit cards through our payment processor. Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported on mobile. ACH bank transfer is available on the donation form. Stock, donor-advised fund grants, and checks are accepted; see Other Ways To Give above.
If you donate by mistake, contact johannes@cfmusic.org within 14 days and we will refund the gift. We do not issue refunds outside that window except in extraordinary circumstances.
No. The foundation does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share donor information with third parties for marketing or fundraising purposes. See the Donor Bill of Rights for the full commitment.
