Accessibility statement

The Campfire Music Foundation is committed to making cfmusic.org usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We design and build the site to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the operative international standard for web accessibility.

What this means in practice

All interactive elements on this site are keyboard navigable. Color contrast on body text exceeds the minimum 4.5 to 1 ratio required by WCAG and meets the foundation's stricter internal standard of 5 to 1. Images that convey meaning have descriptive alt text. Decorative images use empty alt attributes so screen readers skip them. Form fields have visible labels, never placeholder-only labels. Color is never the sole means of conveying information. A skip-to-content link is the first focusable element on every page.

Third-party content

The donation form is provided by Givebutter, the newsletter signup by Beehiiv, and contact and waitlist forms by Tally. These tools commit to their own accessibility standards. If you encounter a problem with any embedded third-party content, we will work to provide an accessible alternative path or hosted page.

Known issues

We test this site with automated accessibility tools (axe-core) and through manual keyboard navigation before each release. As of the last review date, we are aware of no critical or serious issues. If you find one, please tell us.

Reporting an issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on cfmusic.org, please email accessibility@cfmusic.org. We aim to respond within five business days and to resolve confirmed issues within thirty days, or to provide an alternative way to access the information or function.

Conformance assessment

This statement reflects our internal assessment. It is not the product of a third-party audit. We commit to updating this page when our conformance level or known issues materially change.
