Streaming as a public good.

Campfire Music Foundation is a Minnesota 501(c)(3) public charity, founded in July 2022 by a group of students at Georgetown University out of a Music Industry Seminar taught by a musicologist and a music policy advocate — Georgetown / Johns Hopkins author-professor Anna Celenza and Michael Bracy of Music Policy Forum — connecting Music Policy Forum and Campfire, and now based in Minnesota. We are building a public-benefit music streaming platform on a simple principle: the money a listener pays should reach the artists that listener actually plays. The platform is in closed testing today, with a Minnesota-first pilot targeted for late 2026.
