Maizy Lawnicki is a policy professional with a Master’s in Public Policy from Northeastern University, inspired by the belief that better communities are built through intentional, inclusive change. She brings an intersectional approach to problem-solving, shaped by her academic training, professional experience, and deep community involvement. Maizy currently works at NEADA and has previously held roles as a policy associate at the National Energy and Utility Affordability Coalition (NEUAC) and as an intern with the National Community Action Partnership (NCAP).
She also contributes to volunteer and mutual aid efforts throughout Washington, DC. In 2025, Maizy collaborated with the Music Policy Forum, helping advance national conversations around equitable cultural policy and the future of the music ecosystem. Her work with MPF reflects her commitment to interdisciplinary solutions and arts-forward policy strategies that support creative communities. She has served on Campfire Music Foundation's Board of Directors since January 2025.
